Weebly.Com and Jumpcut.Com

Making my online portfolio on weebly.com was quite a challenge yet fun. It is an online resume where I can write things like about myself, my job experience, education, hobbies and interest, travel, references, music, and personal blog.

Making a movie in jumpcut.com was an amazing experience. At first, it was really hard to load the pictures as well as to edit. Since I have the experience with the imovie in my laptop, it was became a little easy.

Here is our movie!!!

Slide Show Self Reflection Comments:

Self-reflective Comments:

How was the experience of teaching online? It was an awesome experience. Since it was my first, I thought I would do horrible but it was actually fun.

What were the challenges? I was having a hard time with putting links on my first picture. I was also having trouble with my headset but during the presentation, I was actually doing well. Thanks to Soly for making me use her earphones.

What was fun? Not-so fun? The fun part happened during the presentation and asking my classmates if they understand what I am talking about and waiting for a reply. The not so fun part is when the links won’t show or when an activity won’t work.

If you had the chance to do it over what would you do differently? Add more pictures.

Any other feedback: I really love everyone’s presentation.

RockYou.Com

My group presented our slide show using RockYou.com and the story that we made was on Happy Feet. It turned out to be AWESOME! so REAL! The first thing we did was get a cut out picture from the internet and paint a background using the xerox paper. After painting the background, we pasted our picture on the paper. We allow it to dry and then we took pictures of the finished product. We loaded the picture to RockYou.com and then edited the slide show. It was fun editing the slide show, adding the sound effect, the glitters in the pictures, and the captions. I really had so much fun making the slide show. I also checked out other features of RockYou.com and some of the things I have seen is the picture editing and word graphic. I was so thrilled that my classmate enjoyed our slide show as well as our teacher. I would truly use it in my classroom and allow my student to use this website to do their presentation. AWESOME!!!

Shaping History: CNMI Governors Webquest

We presented our webquest projects and everyone has a variety of topics. We made our webquest on the past and future leaders of the CNMI. Other presentation was awesome. My group and I had a hard time in editing our work so we needed to create another one. Eventhough that happened, I still plan to use it in my classroom. My students would create their own webquests in group and present it as well. This would be a good computer center activity to do in class and can be incorporated with other major subject are. I can't wait to try it in class.

Say Cheese!

Taking pictures as a group is fun! My partners and I took pictures of different things that can be found on the campus. Some of the things we were looking for were instructor wearing glasses, wet floor sign, white echo car, and a boony dog or cat. At first it was hard using the digital camera because it keeps on saying its full. My partner and I finally figure out how to delete old pictures so that we can store new ones. After taking pictures, we needed to download the picture and transfer to the flash drive. That part was easy because I have my own digital camera and I have past experience in downloading pictures.

Online Word Processing Software

I rate the online word processing software as a 10. In my group we did the thinkfree and it was easy to use. The features includes loading pictures, office application settings, and creating a folder. We can also add other people so that they can have forums in case their is a problem that needs to be resolve. In the class room, we can use it as a management tool because it includes feature where the teacher can suggest and discuss things in the classroom such as homeworks and projects. We also did googledoc in the class. Though I was having a hard time at first, it was fun and interactive to use. We did DOL or Daily Oral Language, were the student has the chance to edit sentences. It was fun!
